Ceramics


Bronze was not the only material used for vessels in tombs. Lacquer and ceramics were also used. Ceramic vessels were often placed in tombs as copies of the more expensive bronze vessels.

Later on in the Qin and Han dynasty the practice of burying followers in death lost popularity. Ceramic figures were created to imitate the guards and servants of the person being buried.
