Ceramics
This servant has been buried with a ceramic wine vessel. Only the very wealthy could afford bronze or jade. Poorer people were often buried with pottery, if anything at all. These pottery vessels were often copies of more expensive bronze vessels.
Ceramic wine vessel
This vessel is very similar to the one in our tomb. It is a copy of a bronze hu. Hu's were used at ritual ceremonies for holding wine. This hu has dragon-shaped handles. Dragons in China are a symbol of good luck and power and they bring rain to the farmland of China.
