This vessel belongs to this servant. Only the very wealthy could afford bronze or jade. Poorer people were often buried with pottery, if anything at all. These pottery vessels were often copies of more expensive bronze vessels.

Glazed stoneware jar

This is a similar jar to the one seen in the tomb. It was probably used for storage. It is decorated with a pattern that has been stamped into the surface of the pot before it was fired in the kiln.
